A time when cookery classes were on offer in the antenatal clinic and it was novel for fathers to attend births…BBC archive sound recording
I was born at University College Hospital in 1953 and it was fascinating to hear descriptions of the facilities and care offered. I was moved to hear the voices of the doctors and nurses who worked there and who may well have been involved in my birth and looking after my mum all those years ago. Thank you for giving me a taste of the sounds (and imagined sights) of the earliest part of my life.
